Every memory is unique, and your canvas print should be too. At Pictureframes.com, you have full creative control: pick the size, depth, border style, and frame (or go frameless) to craft wall art that perfectly reflects your vision and your photo's personality.
Available in multiple depths, including ¾" for maximum framing versatility and 2" for a bold, high-impact presentation, our gallery-quality canvas prints are designed to highlight every detail and transform your most meaningful moments.
Canvas prints bring your favorite moments to life with rich texture and timeless appeal. Unlike traditional photo prints behind glass, canvas prints have a glare-free finish that allows your images to shine in any light, making them perfect for every space.
Gallery Wrap Canvas Prints: For canvases with a depth of 1½" to 2", opt for a sleek, frameless look with our gallery wrap style. This presentation allows your artwork or photo to stand on its own, creating a clean, modern aesthetic that seamlessly integrates into any space. If you would like to frame a canvas print, start by selecting your frame first then add your print to ensure the perfect fit.
Add a Canvas-Friendly Frame: If you select a ¾" deep canvas, you have the option to enhance your print with a canvas-friendly frame. These frames are designed to accommodate the thickness of your canvas and provide a polished, finished look that complements your artwork. To frame your canvas, choose the frame style first then add your print to complete your presentation.
Float Your Canvas Art: For canvases less than 2" deep, consider a floater frame. This frame style creates the illusion that your canvas is suspended within the frame, offering a perfect way to highlight your art. When framing a canvas print, select your floater frame first before adding your print for a seamless fit.
Choose the Right Frame: Canvas-friendly frames are designed to accommodate the stretcher bars of your canvas, making it easy to frame and hang your artwork with confidence. Selecting the correct frame ensures a secure fit and a clean, professional appearance.
Traditional Frame vs. Floater Frame: For a timeless, classic look, a traditional frame is an excellent choice. Alternatively, a floater frame offers a modern, minimalist presentation, especially suited for abstract or contemporary art where you want the canvas edges visible. Whichever you choose, make sure the frame depth is sufficient to fully enclose your canvas without protruding from the front or back. Measure Twice, Hang Once: Before hanging, carefully measure your display area, considering distances from furniture, ceilings, floors, and nearby artwork. Use a pencil to mark the center points where you plan to hang your framed canvas, helping you achieve a perfectly balanced and visually pleasing arrangement.
Words like "stretched" and "rolled" describe the canvas print at two different stages. Where a stretched canvas print refers to a canvas that is stretched on all-wood stretcher bars and stapled in place, a rolled canvas print is a print before it is stretched. Some people like professional artists and photographers decide to stretch a rolled canvas themselves because they enjoy the process and can save money doing so. However, for a more hassle-free option, many may opt for their printers to complete the process, receiving a stretched canvas print that's ready to be framed.
Our Gallery Grade Satin and Glossy Canvases are both crafted from a white, poly-cotton blend and accept eco-solvent pigmented ink sets, utilizing the ultimate in eco-friendly technology with agent-free brighteners and fluorescent whitening. The Satin Canvas requires no top coat, making it an economical choice without compromising quality, while the Glossy Canvas features a quick-drying, low-odor topcoat that adds a polished sheen to elevate any fine art print.
A ¾" stretched canvas is a classic presentation that's tautly stretched over an all-wood ⅝" stretcher bar and stapled in place for a finished depth of ¾". Stapling is always done on the back for the more professional look that sets us apart from our competitors. This classic size is the most frame-friendly depth, finished with a standard, white border wrap and works well with hundreds of frame choices. A gallery wrap uses a thicker, all wood stretcher bar for a final depth of either 1", 1½" or 2". It's most used when the canvas is hung unframed as a stand-alone work of art or in a canvas floater frame with exposed edges. Choose from three border styles - mirrored image, black or white.
